Mast Roller - The lift truck mast is an integral part of the lift truck's framework. These forklifts or also called lift truck vehicles are industrial machinery used so as to pick up and transfer merchandise.
The vertical construction responsible for lowering or raising a load is known as the mast. A forklift mast has interlocking rails which give lateral steadiness. These rails are guided by rollers or brushings.
Utilizing metallic plates so as to help move goods, the masts are powered by hydraulic mechanisms. Hydraulics is the transmission of power which uses pressurized fluid, usually oil. Hydraulic cylinders which link directly to the lift truck engine are responsible for driving the mast, causing it to tilt, lower or lift cargo. The pressurized oil drives the cylinder piston to be able to move in a linear motion, or in strokes. The mast is often worked via a handle in the cab or positioned in the section of the forklift that houses the lift truck control parts and the worker.
A swing mast defines a lift truck truck utilizing a mast which could swing in a ninety degree angle in one direction. This design enables the swing mast to function in aisles that are less than 6 feet wide.
